Richmond: west facing, flat, family garden​

Areas for relaxing at both ends of the garden with a lawn (a primary request, for football) and easily maintained planting.

 

The design makes the most of the sun and shade. A neat path gives access to the outbuilding and an innovative, curved deck provides an all-year, shady seating area with or without cushions or furniture. We took care to calculate the optimum curve and it's remarkably comfortable. The spacious porcelain patio is a wonderful sun trap.
